Sonar Chicago 2010 review
This story was originally published on DePauliaOnline.com on September 27.
On Sept. 9-11, Chicago experienced Sonar, the long-running experimental music festival originating from Barcelona, Spain in 1994.
Marking the end of a long summer of events in Chicago, Sonar offered something different than predecessors like Pitchfork, Lollapalooza or the North Coast Music Festival. Drawing 8,000 visitors over three days, Sonar countered big names, pricy tickets and massive crowds with a free, intimate show that won’t soon be forgotten by those who experienced it.
