The graphs below, courtesy of Google Trends, illustrate the amount of Google searches for popular electronic dance music genres.
When in “relative mode” (as shown below), Google describes Search Volume index as “the average search traffic for your term (represented as 1.0) during the time period you’ve selected.” Therefore, the figures along the y-axis show the spike in traffic times the average search traffic over the given time period (2004 – 24 April 2011).
News reference volume depicts the number of times a topic appeared in Google News stories.
Summer’s almost here, and you know what that means: it’s festival time.
The club can be fun, but it’s always nice for a little change of pace. And what better an environment than a sunny day outside surrounded by thousands of other party-goers to enjoy drinks, music and all of the festivities?

Amnesia Ibiza 2006
According to Ibiza-Spotlight.com, MTV will host Friday nights at Amnesia in Ibiza this summer.
MTV will team up with Amnesia to host 10 Friday parties this summer season, says Ibiza-Spotlight, with headliners including Duran Duran, Layo & Bushwhacka!, Magda, Plastikman, Marc Ronson and more.
MTV’s opening party at Amnesia will be Friday, July 22 with Mar-T, Layo & Bushwhacka!, 2manydjs, and more to be announced.
Montreal-born Tiga's Turbo Recordings hits its 100th release with 'ZZAfrika Remixes'
As they have both been found in headlining spots at the world’s biggest events for years, Tiesto and Deadmau5 have decided to get into the studio together and are currently collaborating on a new track.
Tiesto dropped in by Deadmau5′ studio while he was touring Canada this weekend. “Awesome… we got the groundwork done for a track, give us a lil time and we’ll give you a banger, thanks for droppin in @tiesto!,” Deadmau5 tweeted on Friday, April 14.
As inthemix.com.au points out, Tiesto has been quite busy on the collaboration front as of late. He has worked recently with Diplo, Marcel Woods and Mark Knight. Check out his track with Mark Knight, ‘Beautiful World,’ on the latest episode of Grooveslanger Radio.
No release date for the Tiesto-Deadmau5 collaboration has yet been announced.
