The Movement Electronic Music Festival is approaching its final  hours this Memorial Day evening in Detroit’s Hart Plaza.

The 3-day event is a staple of American summer music festivals and features performances from legends like Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig, Sven Vath and Green Velvet.

With Paul Kalkbrenner, Adam Beyer, and Fatboy Slim preparing to close out the night at their respective stages in about an hour, some beautiful weather created the perfect setting for the party this weekend. Check out the action below.

Crobar to reopen this June as Fifteen43

The former Crobar nightclub will reopen its doors this June with the grand opening of Fifteen43, according to a flier released online this week.

On Saturday, June 4, Fifteen43 at 1543 N. Kingsbury Ave. in Chicago will welcome back Crobar favorites like Psycho Bitch, Teri Bristol, Mixin Marc and Victor R for its “Resurrection” party. Also playing Resurrection is dancer-turned-DJ Adrie Marie.

Crobar shut its doors last April after 19 years in business. Partner Joey Vartanian had hoped at that time to rebrand the club and move away from the Crobar image.

For more information about the Resurrection party, email Info@1543Kingsbury.com. For table reservations, call 312.462.1007.
