“All good music should tell a story,” reads Tale Of Us’ Facebook page. “Tales of experience. Tales of joy. Tales of love lost and won. A tale of us.”

The Berlin-based production duo made up Matteo Milleri and Karm has a sound ranging between house and techno. The two met producers met while living in Italy, where Matteo came to from New York and Karm from Toronto.

2012 is sure to be a big year for Tale Of Us. In addition to this night at SpyBar, they will also be playing events like Detroit’s Movement Electronic Music Festival and Sonar Barcelona.

Over the years, Chris Lake (Ultra/Rising Music) has come to be known as one of the premiere names in house music.

The London-based DJ/producer is best known for records like “Changes”, “Only One” and “Carry Me Away,” and claims two American Billboard Dance chart No. 1′s.

Since his last SpyBar appearance back in October of 2011, Chris Lake has released “Sundown” on Ultra Music. The big room track from his forthcoming artist album features a beautiful acoustic guitar riff and mesmerizing vocals.

North Coast Music Festival 2011 photo recap

The North Coast Music Festival‘s sophomore installment has come and gone, and it’s safe to say this year’s fest was a success.

Beautiful weather and a great crowd made for a long weekend of positive vibes in Chicago’s Union Park. Solid performances from acts like James Zabiela, David Guetta, SBTRKT, Rusko, Bass Nectar and more, along with amped up staging and lighting ensured not a dull moment was had at North Coast this Labor Day weekend.

Chicago producers Inphinity and Kalendr gain support from SHM

A YouTube video was recently uploaded showcasing some major love for two Chicago producers.

DJs Inphinity and Kalendr have long been household names in the Chicago club scene and have released a steady flow of music over the past few years. Their remix of “So High” by Steve Smooth featuring Luvli on Ultra Records in 2010 marked a new milestone in their production.

The duo picked up some big support from the Swedish House Mafia at Pacha Ibiza this summer on their bootleg of Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.” and “Knas” of SHM’s own “Knas.” Check it out.



Mia Martina on new single, upcoming tour, “Stereo Love”

Vocalist Mia Martina will do three live performances in Chicago this July

Vocalist Mia Martina will be in Chicago this July for a string of live performances.

Her new single, produced by Chicago’s own Jump Smokers, is out now on CP Records/EMI. It is the first single from her upcoming debut artist album “Devotion.”

“Working with Jump  Smokers was amazing,” says Mia.”There are many other collaborations with Jump Smokers on ‘Devotion’ to look forward to as well,” she adds.

Martina’s big break came last year after recording the North American release of Edward Maya’s highly-successful “Stereo Love” on Ultra Records.
