Avicii look alike contest
It seems like Avicii is on top of the world right now, and to celebrate his recent milestone of 1 million Facebook fans he is hosting a look alike contest.
Fans are invited to rock their best Avicii look and submit a photo for a chance to win airfare, a hotel and two VIP tickets to Avicii’s next show in Stockholm, Sweden on March 3, 2012. Submissions will be judged by Avicii himself and his general manager Ash Pournouri.
“Everyone has a chance to win, just be creative,” says the Avicii Facebook page. “Don’t just wear a plaid shirt and call it a day though!”

Avicii gets robbed

Swedish wonder boy Avicii was robbed yesterday before playing a show in Rochester, NY.
According to his Facebook page, Avicii’s room was broken into early Thursday morning while he was sleeping. “In a hotel full of fans that was a creepy thing to happen,” he wrote. “I really hope someone helps me find them.”
It’s not clear exactly what was stolen, but the post suggests he lost his computer or other music gear. “I just want my stuff back so I can keep producing on the road,” he posted.
As shown in the YouTube video below, the show at Main Street Armory last night did go on in spite of the robbery.
Avicii is offering a reward to anyone who can help locate his belongings. Those with information should email info@atnight.se.

Simon Cowell to launch DJ show
Simon Cowell, best known from prime time favorites like American Idol and The X Factor, is reportedly launching a DJ talent show.
“DJs are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show,” said Cowell in a statement, according to Telegraph.co.uk.
The Telegraph reports the program will be co-produced by SYCO, Cowell’s joint venture with Sony Music, and Will and Jada Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment.
According to a Tweet from Cowell, he will not be serving as a judge on the upcoming DJ talent show.

Pioneer to release limited edition CDJ-2000 and DJM-900
Pioneer has announced the upcoming release of white, limited edition versions of the CDJ-2000 digital media player and the DJM-900 Nexus high performance digital mixer.
Limited runs of 1,000 units of the CDJ-2000-W and 500 units of the DJM-900 Nexus-W will be produced and made available worldwide. Each special edition mixer and player will come with a distinctive plaque engraved with the serial number to indicate its authenticity and limited quantity.
The white CDJ-2000-W and DJM-900 Nexus-W will be available in February 2012.
