Avicii signs with Atom Empire and Interscope Records in the U.S.
Interscope Records has announced it has signed a U.S. deal with Avicii. Through the deal, Avicii’s “Le7els” radio edit is now available to all digital partners on Interscope Records’ Atom Empire.
Sander van Doorn does Beatport Sundays at TAO

Beatport Sundays at TAO Beach in Vegas rocked on this past Sunday with special guest Sander van Doorn.
The Dutch DJ/producer known for his style of trancy-house raised the standard for Tao Beach parties and upcoming Beatport Sunday Artists. Spinning original tracks like his latest trance hit “Koko,” Van Doorn captured the attention of the crowd early in the afternoon keeping the party going before packing up to head to his next destination in Paris.
Van Doorn can be expected back in Las Vegas, for the long-awaited Electric Daisy Carnival Friday June 24, performing the closing set at the KineticField, 4:30-6:00 a.m.

Beatport recognized outstanding talent in electronic dance music Sunday night at its fourth annual Beatport Music Awards (BMAs) at the Gansevoort Miami Beach.
“The Beatport Music Awards are our way of saying thank you to the talent behind the biggest electronic dance music tracks of the year. It’s because of these folks and many others, that electronic dance music is having its biggest year ever across the globe,” said Matthew Adell, CEO of Beatport. “Beatport exists to serve the DJ community, so this week in Miami has certainly been inspiring to our entire team, as it is every year.”
The awards ceremony was the grand finale to Beatport’s five-day Miami Beach Party, which coincides with Miami Music Week. The party had more than 50 performances from the world’s top DJs including Richie Hawtin, Steve Angello, Danny Tenaglia, Skrillex and Pleasurekraft. Special guests Deadmau5 and Afrojack also made an appearance.
Beatport to donate today’s proceeds to Japan relief
In effort to support Japan in its post-tsunami crisis, Beatport will donate 100 percent of today’s net proceeds to Japan relief.
Proceeds will be counted until the end of the day, 11:59 p.m. MT, minus payments to artists and labels, says Beatportal.com. The revenue will then be donated to the American Red Cross, Mile High Chapter and then on to Japanese Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Relief.

Beatport launches BeatBot
Beatport recently launched BeatBot, the music-recommendation tool that suggests tunes to Beatport-shoppers.
Unlike Beatport’s ‘users also bought’ feature which is based on sales, BeatBot uses algorithms to suggest similar tunes based on sounds, style or scene.
To use BeatBot, just click the arrow on the right of any ‘buy’ button in Beatport and and select the bottom-link that reads: “Like this track? Find more with BeatBot.”
Deadmau5 presents the ‘Ultimate Remix Challenge’
Deadmau5 and Beatport have teamed up to present ‘the Ultimate Remix Challenge,’ for Deadmau5′s soon-to-be released track ‘SOFI Needs a Ladder.’
